"The Aligned Breath" Workshop

🧘week 1-The circuit:Restoring the Mechanism

🌬️week 2-The pump: Mula Banda & diaphragm strength

🌬️week 2-The pump: Mula Banda & diaphragm strength

This foundational week establishes the "closed circuit" by connecting the body's energy meridians through specialized breathwork techniques, using the Magpie Bridge (tongue position). The core practice is the Stough Exhale—a key aspect of couples breathwork—that involves counting aloud to progressively empty the lungs until the body instinctively takes a powerful, reflexive inhale. This holistic health workshop aims to unlock the diaphragm from neck and jaw tension, leading to immediate anxiety reduction and improved sleep, while also enhancing mindfulness training through the integration of Tai Chi and breathwork.

The focus shifts to grounding the respiratory system by introducing Mula Bandha (Root Lock). By engaging the pelvic floor at the very end of the exhale, participants learn to 'seal the cylinder' and assist the diaphragm, which acts like a piston. This breathwork technique is particularly effective in couples breathwork, helping practitioners 'wring out' stale air from the lungs. In holistic health workshops, this method promotes core stability, increases vitality, and boosts oxygen efficiency, aligning well with principles taught in mindfulness training and practices such as Tai Chi and breathwork.

✨week 3-the space: Uddiyana & Rib mobility

This week features Uddiyana Bandha (Abdominal Lock), a crucial component of breathwork techniques designed to dramatically increase inner volume and enhance ribcage flexibility. Practiced after a full exhale, this technique employs a 'Mock Inhale' (inhaling without letting air in) to create a powerful vacuum that elevates the diaphragm beyond normal voluntary limits. This mechanical lift not only massages internal organs but also releases emotional trauma stored in the solar plexus, ultimately restoring the natural mobility of the ribcage. This practice embodies the essence of holistic health workshops that focus on mindfulness training, making it a valuable addition to couples breathwork and other practices like Tai Chi and breathwork.

💫week 4-the Orbit: Integration & Flow

✨week 3-the space: Uddiyana & Rib mobility

✨week 3-the space: Uddiyana & Rib mobility

The final week of our holistic health workshops combines all elements into a continuous, meditative state known as the Microcosmic Orbit. Participants engage in breathwork techniques that utilize a resonant humming sound (Stough Check) on the exhale to ensure deep relaxation. As part of the mindfulness training, couples practice visualizing energy circling up the back and down the front of the body. The goal is complete integration and synchronization of the breath and nervous system, ultimately achieving deep meditative states and sustained 'flow state' clarity through practices like Tai Chi and breathwork.

Why take the Breathwork and Holistic Path?

Pharmaceuticals

Pharmaceuticals

Pharmaceuticals

Western medicine is effective for various conditions. If you have an infection, the right medication can make it disappear quickly. However, sometimes medications come with unwanted side effects or may not be suitable for everyone. This is where breathwork techniques, including couples breathwork, can play a valuable role in addressing the root of health issues. Engaging in holistic health workshops that incorporate mindfulness training and Tai Chi and breathwork can provide deeper insights and solutions beyond just treating symptoms.

Mindfulness

Pharmaceuticals

As Americans, we often find ourselves on the go, constantly in 'flight, fight, or freeze' mode without realizing it. Engaging in breathwork techniques can help bring awareness to the areas where we harbor the negative emotions we wish to release. By exploring couples breathwork, we can deepen our connection, while participating in holistic health workshops can further enhance our overall well-being. Additionally, incorporating mindfulness training, along with practices like Tai Chi and breathwork, can foster a greater sense of calm and intentionality in our busy lives.

Our Approach

Our Approach

Breathwork techniques are designed to be easy and, most importantly, relaxing. Through mindfulness training, you’ll receive suggestions to help you control your breath, which could have a rippling effect on several areas of your life. Additionally, couples breathwork and holistic health workshops can further enhance your practice, while incorporating elements of Tai Chi and breathwork can deepen your experience.

"The Sacred Circuit: Couples Workshop

🧘Week 1-Establish The Circuit

🧘Week 1-Establish The Circuit

🧘Week 1-Establish The Circuit

This week emphasizes the importance of preventing 'energy leakage' through effective breathwork techniques that create a closed energetic loop. A crucial practice involves maintaining the 'Magpie Bridge' by resting the tongue on the soft palate, which connects major energy meridians while relaxing the jaw. In our holistic health workshops, couples engage in breathwork focused on the Stough Exhale, a complete and slow exhale that optimizes oxygen intake and ensures the tongue seal, thereby building a container for their shared energy. Incorporating elements of mindfulness training and Tai Chi and breathwork, these practices enhance the overall experience for couples.

🌬️week 2-Introduce grounding

🧘Week 1-Establish The Circuit

🧘Week 1-Establish The Circuit

The focus shifts to Mula Bandha (Root Lock/pelvic floor engagement) as a key element in breathwork techniques, creating a stable base, or "cylinder," for the diaphragm. This practice supports the "Diaphragm Piston" mechanic—engaging the pelvic floor at the end of the exhale helps push the diaphragm to its highest arch, expelling stale air and promoting a powerful, reflexive inhale. Incorporating these elements into couples breathwork and holistic health workshops enhances not only respiratory function but also sexual vitality and grounding. Additionally, integrating mindfulness training with Tai Chi and breathwork can further amplify these benefits.

✨week 3-Focus on the "release"

💫week 4-Achieving the "MIcrocosmic Orbit

💫week 4-Achieving the "MIcrocosmic Orbit

This week addresses stored emotional tension through Uddiyana Bandha (Abdominal Lock), a technique that aligns with various breathwork techniques. The practice involves drawing the navel in and up on the empty lungs (holding the breath out) to allow the diaphragm to rise fully. This energetic 'Diaphragm Ascent' not only massages the Vagus nerve but also releases 'fight or flight' energy, making it an essential component of mindfulness training. Additionally, it requires flexibility in the ribcage, which can be enhanced through partner-assisted stretches often used in couples breathwork. Incorporating elements of Tai Chi and breathwork into holistic health workshops can further elevate the experience.

💫week 4-Achieving the "MIcrocosmic Orbit

In the final week of the holistic health workshops, all prior elements are integrated—the Magpie Bridge, Stough coordination, and the Bandhas. The couple engages in couples breathwork as they practice the Microcosmic Orbit visualization, allowing energy to circulate throughout their bodies. Through these breathwork techniques, the ultimate goal is to achieve synched breathing, where partners inhale and exhale in opposition. This creates a 'figure-8 of energy' between them, dissolving the perception of two separate nervous systems into a single, harmonious circuit, embodying principles of mindfulness training alongside the art of Tai Chi and breathwork.

Explanation of “Breathe Coordination”

Carl Stough’s theory suggest that somewhere along the line we lost our ability to breathe, either through trauma or tragedy, with the same coordination at our birth. Breathe coordination helps us return to our parasympathetic system.
